For over 30 years we have been partnering with India's Christians to fulfil the Great Commission
Mission India’s roots date back to 1970, when Founder, Dr John F DeVries, developed a Bible correspondence course, dubbed 'Project Philip' after the New Testament disciple who crossed national and cultural barriers to share God’s Word.
In the early 1980's Dr DeVries formed 'Bibles for India,' the organisational predecessor of Mission India. In 1984 Bibles for India began sponsoring Gospel literacy courses in India and in 1985 it formed 'Schools of Evangelism' to train indigenous Church Planters throughout India.
In 1990 the work was reorganised under the name 'Mission India' and the Children's Bible Club ministry was introduced.
Today Mission India continues to work with indigenous ministry partners across India as we pursue our goal of planting churches throughout India.
