God is using literacy to transform individuals, families and entire communities in India.
Adult Literacy Classes:
- Provide education in literacy and numeracy to the equivalent of a 10 year old
- Promote good nutrition, sanitation and hygiene
- Raise awareness of basic rights, fair wages and responsibilities as citizens
- Encourage newly literate parents to send children to school
- Teach entrepreneurial skills to increase family income
- Open doors in communities resistant to the Christian message
- Share joy in Jesus and offer new hope for the future
- Build Bible-literate worshipping groups
