Kajiri stayed faithful to her Savior even in the face of her parents' rage ...

Kajiri's parents were so angry she became a Christian that they locked her in their home. But Kajiri's faith in Jesus was stronger than their anger.

Kajiri once attempted suicide...because she felt so guilty about her sins.

Then she met a Mission India Church Planter, who told her about Jesus. Kajiri confessed her sins and wept bitterly. “Forgive me, Jesus,” she prayed. “I give my life to you.”

Kajiri’s parents were angry she was a Christian. “Your family and friends will reject you if you worship this foreign God. Finding a person to marry you will become impossible.”

But Kajiri would not give up Jesus.

So, her parents locked her up in the house. And they beat her.

Kajiri prayed every day and read the Bible. One day, she escaped through a window so that she could be baptized. She returned home afterwards. And her parents were waiting for her, angrier than ever. They beat her again.

She was locked inside, but Kajiri could not stay silent. She shared the Gospel with her brother, and he’s interested in learning more.

Deaf to Kajiri’s protests, her parents began arranging for her to marry a Hindu. One day, Kajiri’s mother brought her to the market for shopping.

“Will you collect my clothes from the tailor in the next lane over?” her mother asked, handing Kajiri some rupees. This was Kajiri’s chance. She ran away and took shelter with some local believers.

Kajiri’s family has completely rejected her. “But the love, peace, and joy I experience in Jesus compels me to live for Him the rest of my life...no matter what consequences I may have to face in the future,” Kajiri says.

She prays that her whole family will come to know Christ.

In the future, Kajiri would like to marry a Christian man who is serving the Lord. And Kajiri hopes to become a Church Planter herself someday!
