Equipping Church Planters
India's Christians are passionate about sharing the Christian message in their communities. But most lack the tools and training to effectively reach their nation. Mission India assists these men and women through our Church Planter Training programme.
Church Planters complete one year of combined classroom training and supervised fieldwork. During this time they share the Good News of Jesus and establish new worshipping groups. Church Planters often open doors to communities through Adult Literacy and Children's Bible Clubs.
Mission India screens and approves applicants, provides materials in 13 Indian languages, supervises the classroom instruction and fieldwork, and requires Church Planters to submit progress reports every six months during their training.
Each Church Planter is supplied with:
- 500 evangelistic Bible study booklets
- 350 discipleship study booklets
- 20 Bibles
- Textbooks on church planting
- Children's Bible Club materials (100 children)
