Changes within Mission India!
May 2010 - The Trustees for Mission India announce that, after a period of discussion and review, Tim Cutting will not be renewing his contract with the charity.
As the organisation’s first full-time Director, Tim has provided the UK ministry with a renewed focus over the past 3½ years, and helped establish a much greater awareness of Mission India’s work amongst churches and individuals.
Mission India Chair of Council, Dave Bustraan said: “Tim has put forth a tremendous effort for God at Mission India, and through his work changed it for the future. He has also effectively changed thousands of people lives eternally in India. He should be proud of his achievements.”
Mission India UK was established in 1999 in order to support the church planting work and ministry programmes in India which have been going for over 25 years. Tim says: “It has been such a privilege to work for Mission India, and I thank God for the opportunity to play a small part in building God’s kingdom in India. I have been touched by the generosity and sacrificial giving of our UK donors, and I thank each one for standing alongside us, providing the prayers and financial resources necessary to allow the work to take place in India. I hope they will remain committed to our ministry so that even more can be achieved in the months and years ahead.”
There will be a period of transition as the process of Tim leaving and the appointment of a new Director takes place. Please pray for all aspects of this handover and change, that God will clearly guide and lead everyone.
A Personal Word from Tim Cutting
Back in 2006 I felt a distinct ‘God-prod’ to take on the role of Mission India’s first full-time UK Director. It was a steep learning curve in the early months, and along the way I have continued to learn a lot about India and Asian culture; faith and fundraising - and about God, and me!
Now, after 3½ years I believe it is time to move on and make way for someone else to take on this exciting role. I feel blessed to have played a small part in reaching lives in India with the good news of Jesus. It has been an honour to serve alongside the UK Council and on behalf of our highly committed staff team in India.
I do not yet have a clear ‘next step’ to take or a specific job to go to, so there will be a period of transition as I discover this, and the Council look to appoint the next Director to whom I can hand over the baton. Please pray for all this, that our calling to serve India can be strengthened, and even more ministry work released into the country.
“As for God, his way is perfect…. It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.” Psalm 18 v 30-32
Founding Council Member says ‘goodbye’
We also say ‘farewell’ to Olave Snelling, who has served as a Council Member since the UK charity was formed. At that time Olave worked for Premier Radio and helped launch Mission India by covering news items and special reports from India. Other commitments now mean she has to let go of some things - including Mission India! She has been a faithful intercessor for the ministry and her spiritual insights, encouraging words and warm friendship will be missed. Thank you, Olave.
