It was an absolute privilege to have our India co-Director, Kamala, in England for 11 days during May. She was able to be involved in 17 different meetings and events which included radio and TV interviews with Premier; seven ‘A Taste of India’ presentations for new and existing supporters; two events for those in the UK with links to India; and two ladies groups. Our UK Director Tim had organised the itinerary, and together he and Kamala travelled around 2,000 miles (half-way to India!) over the 11 days, meeting many people with a heart and burden for India. Wherever they went they received a warm welcome, and many were deeply moved by Kamala’s own remarkable story and the way God has enabled her to accomplish so much – by God’s amazing grace – on behalf of Mission India! Kamala said of this her first ever visit to the UK: “I need to thank you for all your care and meticulous planning in making the visit educational, encouraging and enthusing the participants in all the places where you have organised the “Taste of India” meetings. I felt the reception and warmth from the people. It has touched my life. I carry all my wonderful memories and am going to share it with family members as well as the office staff.” The purpose of Kamala’s visit was to make the name and ministry of Mission India more widely known to UK Christians, and also to recruit more people to ‘pray, promote, provide’ for this very significant work in India. UK group visit India
Tim reports: "I was in India during the second half of January, leading a group of friends and supporters to see our work and ministry first-hand. We called at the organisational headquarters in Andhra Pradesh, and saw examples of work and programmes ‘in the field’ in central and north India. The trip was very demanding but provided a wonderful opportunity to witness what God is doing in the country through the ministry of Mission India." Click here to see more photos of the trip.
